By downloading, accessing, or using Cindr, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Cindr.
What Cindr provides
Cindr is a focused email-cleanup tool. It connects to a supported email account that you authorize and presents messages for you to Keep, move to Trash, inspect, or review for unsubscribe options. Cindr is not a full email client, backup service, archival system, spam filter, legal-records system, or emergency communications service.
You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, current operating system, internet access, and an account in good standing with each email provider you connect.
Mailbox actions and your responsibility
Cindr performs mailbox-changing actions only in response to your decisions or a safe action previously queued by you. You are responsible for reviewing the message and the proposed action before confirming it.
- Keep normally makes no mailbox change.
- Trash moves a message to the provider’s Trash or deleted-items location. It does not guarantee indefinite recoverability; your provider controls retention and permanent deletion.
- Undo is offered where provider capabilities and current message state allow it, but cannot be guaranteed after retention, account, or provider-side changes.
- Unsubscribe may contact a sender-designated endpoint, open a website, or prepare an email after disclosure and confirmation. Cindr cannot guarantee that a sender will honor a request.
Do not rely on Cindr as the only means of retaining important messages. Review your provider’s Trash and retention settings and maintain appropriate backups where necessary.
Third-party providers
Google, Microsoft, Apple, unsubscribe websites, and other third parties operate independently under their own terms and privacy policies. Cindr is not responsible for third-party availability, authentication decisions, rate limits, policy changes, content, security, or retention behavior. Provider support may change when their APIs or policies change.
Subscriptions and purchases
If Cindr offers paid features, purchases and recurring subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pricing, billing period, trial terms, and renewal information are displayed before purchase. Unless Apple states otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through your Apple account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refund eligibility is controlled by Apple and applicable law.
Deleting Cindr or deleting local Cindr data does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Acceptable use
You may use Cindr only with accounts you own or are authorized to manage and in compliance with applicable law and provider rules. You may not:
- Use Cindr to access another person’s account without permission.
- Attempt to defeat security controls, interfere with provider services, or abuse API limits.
- Reverse engineer the app except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Use Cindr for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
License and ownership
Subject to these terms and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement that applies in your region, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cindr on compatible Apple devices. Cindr’s name, design, software, and original content remain the property of their respective owner.
Changes, suspension, and termination
Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued to improve the service, respond to provider or legal requirements, or address security and reliability. You may stop using Cindr at any time and delete local data. Access may be limited when required to protect users, providers, or the service or when these terms are materially violated.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cindr is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, message recoverability, sender compliance with unsubscribe requests, or compatibility with every mailbox.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Cindr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of messages, data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use Cindr. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any mandatory Apple terms form the agreement concerning Cindr. Applicable consumer-protection rights remain unaffected.
