Report a security issue

Use the security reporting instructions, not general support.

Cindr does not have a server-side account or access to a remote copy of your inbox. Support may ask you to reproduce a problem or provide non-sensitive diagnostic context, but should never ask for your mailbox password, OAuth token, or complete message body.

I cannot connect my mailbox

  1. Confirm your iPhone has a working internet connection and the provider is not experiencing an outage.
  2. Complete authorization in the Google or Microsoft page without closing the system sign-in sheet.
  3. If an organization manages the mailbox, its administrator may restrict third-party applications or require approval.
  4. Open Cindr Settings, disconnect the provider if it appears, and reconnect.
  5. If the problem continues, contact support with the provider name and exact non-sensitive error message.

Trash, Undo, and missing messages

Cindr moves selected messages to the provider’s Trash or deleted-items folder; it does not permanently delete them in the cleanup flow. Undo attempts to restore the provider state recorded at the time of the action. Undo can fail if the provider has already removed the message, another client changed it, the account was disconnected, or provider access expired.

If a message is not restored, open Gmail, Outlook, or Microsoft 365 directly and inspect its Trash or deleted-items folder. Provider retention policies control how long it remains recoverable.

Unsubscribe behavior

Cindr looks for recognized unsubscribe information supplied by the sender. A one-click option is offered only for a recognized HTTPS method and requires confirmation. Website and email methods open an external app after you choose them. Cindr cannot guarantee sender compliance, and a missing safe method means no automatic option is shown.

Privacy and local data

Cindr processes mailbox data on your iPhone and communicates directly with your provider. Full bodies are fetched only when opened and are not persisted. Remote images and scripts do not load in the native message viewer.

To remove Cindr’s local state and credentials, follow the Data Deletion instructions. For privacy questions, contact dukesbarlow.web@gmail.com.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple manages payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests. Deleting the app or its local data does not cancel a subscription. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, then choose Cindr. Use Apple’s purchase history or support channels for billing questions that require payment records.

Accessibility

Cindr supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver alternatives to swipe gestures, Reduce Motion, Differentiate Without Color, and accessible chart summaries. If a control, label, or flow is inaccessible, contact support and include the assistive technology and iOS version you use.
