Delete your Cindr data

Cindr does not create a separate online Cindr account and does not keep a server-side copy of your mailbox. You can remove local state and provider credentials from inside the app.

Delete all Cindr data

  1. Open Cindr on your iPhone.
  2. Open the Settings tab.
  3. Open the privacy and data controls.
  4. Choose Delete all Cindr data.
  5. Read the confirmation and confirm deletion.

This disconnects or revokes provider access where supported, removes Cindr OAuth tokens from Keychain, deletes protected local session and action state, clears preferences and aggregate widget data, and returns the app to onboarding.

Disconnect one provider

To retain Cindr’s other local information while removing one mailbox, open Cindr Settings, select the connected account, and choose Disconnect. The account’s stored credentials are removed from the device. You can reconnect later through the provider’s authorization screen.

Revoke access directly with your provider

You can independently revoke provider access even if Cindr is no longer installed:

  • Google: Open Google Account third-party connections, find Cindr, and remove access.
  • Microsoft: Open Microsoft application permissions, find Cindr, and remove its permissions. An organization-managed account may require its Microsoft 365 administrator.

Revoking access prevents new provider requests but does not reverse mailbox actions already completed.

What deletion does not remove

  • Messages already moved to your provider’s Trash remain there until restored or deleted under the provider’s retention policy.
  • Completed unsubscribe requests remain with the sender or unsubscribe service that received them.
  • Apple purchase and subscription records remain with Apple. Deleting data or the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Information you independently sent to support remains subject to the support and legal retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

To cancel an Apple subscription, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, and choose Cindr.

Get help

Because Cindr has no remote mailbox database, support cannot remotely erase data stored only on your iPhone. If you cannot access the app, revoke provider access using the links above and remove Cindr from the device.
